After a filling lunch at the coffee-shop around the corner, we went to Shrove Tuesday for coffee and dessert.
Since we were too full to manage an ice cream waffle, we got the Rainbow Kuey Lapis and a scoop of Raspberry Lychee Rose Ice Cream to share. And a cappuccino each of course.

Cake. Coffee. Ice Cream. Mmmmmm.
We didn't really like the Raspberry Lychee Rose Ice Cream. The flavour combination did not exactly leave us begging for more. The Rainbow Kuey Lapis was decent, not too oily or too cloyingly sweet. The colours are pretty, so it photographs well. But at $8.50 a slice, I find it a tad pricey.

The cafe owners boast about waffles being their signature item on the cafe walls and promotional posters, so I am definitely returning to give it a try. I just need to remind myself to go easy on lunch/dinner before dropping by.
